My Journey as an Acting Coach

I just wanted a community to create and explore with again after the pandemic. I started by calling myself more of a “host” than a “coach”, but I surprised myself every week with how much feedback I had to offer. The imposter syndrome remained, but my confidence kept building as I became more of a leader.

Then Stranger Things came out.

This opened the door to so many opportunities to share my knowledge and insight with other young actors. From interviews, to video collaborations, public speaking opportunities with local theatre students, and even being invited on a panel at San Diego Comic Con!

These were some of the most fulfilling experiences in my life, beyond even being on-set. I fell in love with sharing my knowledge just as much as applying it to my own work. Focusing on the love of the craft instead of all the uncontrollable or superficial aspects of the work.

Acting is the one place I feel I offer value, and I feel fortunate to be in a place where I can share that value with other young and hungry actors. I’m still early in my career, but feel I have a strong enough footing to help others deliver performances they can feel proud and surprised by.
